Despite a flag of California State is behind the Commander's desk, this episode was filmed (in 1974) in South Carolina at the military college The Citadel, Charleston. The RF-84 was on display there between September 1957 and 1990. Now stored at USAF Museum in Dayton.

The VC-140B on permanent static display (Google map) at Andrews AFB is reported to have had the registration N711Z.
