On April 3rd, 1996, U.S. Air Force Flight IFO-21 crashed in 3 kilometers to the North of Dubrovnik Airport, Croatia, killing 35 poeple on board (29 passengers and 6 crew). The tail number of the accident aircraft is shortened as 31149.

Boeing 737-31S[]
Registration 5B-DBY, c/n 29099/2982 built in 1997. Helios Airways Flight 522 crashed into a mountain on 14 August 2005, north of Marathon and Varnavas, Greece, while flying from Larnaca, Cyprus, to Athens, Greece. A lack of oxygen incapacitated the crew, leading to the aircraft's eventual crash after running out of fuel. All 121 on board were killed.
